How much wine/champagne should I allow per person?
You should allow ½ bottle of wine and 2 glasses of champagne per person.
Should we provide spirits?
You can do although most people are happy with what is provided, alternatively we can set up a full pay bar.
Is a Toastmaster necessary?
Not absolutely necessary, but he keeps the whole day ticking along and ensures that timings are adhered to in order that the Bride and Groom can make the most of their day
How long should we allow for the reception?
1 to 1 ½ hours based on 100 guests, also dependent on whether you serve canapés or not.
Should we serve canapés?
Yes – it allows extra time if the photographer over runs and it would ward off the hunger pangs of your guests.
How long will the wedding breakfast take?
For a 3 course sit down meal it will take around 2 hours plus speeches.
Would a buffet be quicker than a sit down meal?
No it would be slower as people will hover and make more than 1 visit to the buffet.
How many people should I cater for at the evening buffet?
If it is a traditional finger buffet then you should allow for 50 – 70%, however we can do it differently and what is becoming more popular is hot pass around food, party bowls and crepes. You will need to cater for everyone as everyone will want it!!
I have a diabetic/coeliac/vegan coming to my wedding can you accommodate them?
We like to make sure that customers with dietary requirements are well looked after and have an interesting meal the same as everyone else.
When should we serve the wedding cake?
Traditionally it is served with the coffee, some people prefer to serve it in the evening. However, if you have our pièce monté (French wedding cake) it can be served as dessert or in the evening
We are not permitted to have fireworks can you suggest an alternative?

Do you do tastings?
Yes at our Chez Vous Restaurant in Warlingham, Surrey where you can taste the standard of our cuisine.
